I enjoyed this but I have to take umbrage with this line:
“Teabag in, water in, teabag out, milk in. Phew.”
The narrator would experience a far superior cup of tea if he left the teabag in whilst pouring in the milk. The teabag can then be used as an adjuster to ensure the correct strength and colour of tea is achieved.
Good god, this was good, Vanya. "one broke gambler a tragedy, one million a statistic", "the inner life of a pocket", pink armour knickers, and Clockwork Orange Ad eyes, so many nuggets.
I used to own a music store that was part of the Guitar Wave following the Piano & Org wave. Then there was the Hi-Fi Stereo wave, the early Computer wave, Video Games, Online Gaming , and now Non-Fungible Tokens. Economists follow these waves so they can make projections on investments. The Entertainment Dollar is from 7 to 10 percent of average household spending.
Thanks for the article and dialogical commentary. Great writing…..
Wow man, this is one of your best. A lot of Substack posts I choose to read slowly and purposefully but this story I didn't have to choose because I got absorbed in it.

Thank you. Quite a glimpse into the insanity of markets and matrix. Nicely done!
